a while back i sent a letter to the local paper, the wellingtonian. it's in a previous post. anyway, the wellingtonian 16 february issue had a reply to my letter! i'm typing it out directly as it appears in the paper. it reads thus...

susan ridge must surely be slipping narcotics into her tea, with her bizarre conspiracy theory about governments and corporations changing the weather (2 feb).

her advice to use an internet search engine to find out more is laughable - crackpots and pot-heads the world over have access to upload whatever they like on this network.

if you believe everything you read without giving it critical thought you might find yourself having a mental breakdown - falsified moon landings, alien abductions, timberyard conspiracy theories, freemasons - the list goes on.

i'd much rather concern myself with actual issues like the socially unacceptable behaviour of the layabouts "occupying" public places in wellington and other cities, and leave the conspiracy theories to hollywood scriptwriters.

do you see what i'm up against in this crazy old country - new (world order) zealand!?

i shall craft a carefully worded reply and wait to see if the paper prints it. haha funny!
